Heritage City Physiotherapy is a locally owned clinic that has been serving the Maryborough community for over 25 years. The practice is located on the corner of Alice and Pallas Streets (386 Alice Street) with on-site parking. Heritage City Physiotherapy has a dedicated team of physiotherapists who provide comprehensive assessments, diagnosis, and treatment for a wide range of injuries and conditions. 

What is Physiotherapy?

Physiotherapists are experts in the structure of the human body and its movement. They help people affected by injury, illness or disability through movement and exercise, manual therapy, education and advice. They maintain health for people of all ages, helping patients to manage pain and prevent disease.

Do I need a referral?

No, you do not need a doctor's referral to attend physio. If you do however have a referral letter, please bring it along to your initial appointment. If accessing funding for your Physiotherapy Treatment by WorkCover, CTP, Medicare or DVA then an appropriate referral is necessary.

Lloyd Roberts

Lloyd Roberts - Practice Owner & Physiotherapist

Lloyd graduated from the University of Queensland in 1993 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. After graduating, Lloyd returned to Maryborough to work at the Maryborough Base Hospital where he met his wife Riitta. Lloyd commenced his own private practice in 1996 at Stephen’s Medical Centre. Lloyd converted a 140-year-old home on the corner of Alice and Pallas Streets into a Physiotherapy and Clinical Pilates Studio, opening the doors for business in 2013. Lloyd has a special interest in Clinical Pilates and injury rehabilitation and prevention. Outside of the clinic, Lloyd enjoys playing golf, spending time with family and friends and cheering on the Geelong Cats AFL team. 

Clare Reason

Clare Reason - Physiotherapist

Clare graduated with a bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) Australian Catholic University 2014. She joined the team in 2016. Clare has a special interest in post-operative rehabilitation, sporting and workplace injuries, and has completed further education in Pilates and dry needling.  Clare also has a special interest in Women’s Health. and has recently completed her Level 1 Pelvic Health through the Australian Physiotherapy Association with plans underway to extend her post graduate studies to include completion of her Level 2 qualification in 2024. Outside of work, Clare spends her time keeping up with her two young boys, being outdoors, camping, fishing, and catching up with family and friends.

James Rossiter

James Rossiter - Physiotherapist

James graduated from Griffith University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy and Exercise Science. James has worked primarily in private practices throughout his physiotherapy career and has a special interest in musculoskeletal and sports injuries and Men's Health. James likes a challenge and undertook further study graduating from Law with Honours in 2018. James enjoys camping with his three young boys and has a keen interest in underwater hockey, golf and fishing.

Keelan Goodall

Keelan Goodall – Physiotherapist

Keelan is a Maryborough local and attended St Mary's College. He studied at James Cook University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2020. Keelan returned home to join the team in 2021 and has a special interest in junior athletes, sports rehabilitation and orthopaedic rehabilitation. Keelan has completed additional training in advanced dry needling. Outside of work Keelan enjoys rugby league, jiu-jitsu and "bombing fairways and sinking putts on the golf course."

Helen Stevens

Helen Stevens - Administration & Allied Health Assistant 

Helen has over 25 years of experience working in the medical industry and plays a key role as Practice Manager in the efficient and friendly service provision of the clinic. She will help you with all your questions and booking needs to ensure a smooth experience. She is local to the area and has certificates in business and allied health assistant. Outside work, Helen enjoys travelling with her family and growing beautiful roses in her gardens.
